Maybe you knew already but mevlut dinc is a turkish game designer and as he says his roots came from zx spectrum (when he came to england for education, he picked up a zx and tried to code games on it).
he's got back to istanbul about 3 years ago to create a MMORPG set in future istanbul, and he's still going. I really didn't expected that "rights release" move from him, because I'm sure he is in financial trouble right now. I guess he is a nice guy afterall.
It's a bit like "Activision leaves the deniences session".
But seriously, Mev has always been a keen supporter of the preservation project and was rather annoyed when his games had to be removed at the time. I think we should feel truly honoured that he remembered WoS and took the step to grant us this kind permission.
Used to love the Sinclair User demo of Hammerfist. Don't think I played the full game (properly, at least) but I think I have a copy lying around here somewhere. :)
Cool, Hammerfist is one of my favorite late Spectrum games. Finished it quite a few times. I kind of liked Time Machine, too, such use of the parallel time planes was quite unheard of in games back then. Got quite far as well IIRC.
I'm really happy people can now finally enjoy them freely...

I was rather impressed when I read that too :)
