Excellent stuff - thanks for putting this together! The floating-point bits in particular are a real goldmine. Hopefully I'll get back to seriously working on OpenZXRom later in the year, and can get down to the business of integrating all of this.
As you know I've not treated the editor/tokeniser side as a particularly high priority, which on one hand means that it's unlikely to be done any time soon unless someone hands me some fully-functional code ready to be dropped in, but on the other hand means that the rest of the code ought to be written in a way that's not tied to any editor implementation, which should make that job easier.
I guess I'll be in touch at a later date to get a more concrete statement of permission from John Grant.

As far as the OpenZXRom goes - yes avoid IY+0x47 as a lot of software misuses this location - even one of the IMC ROMs and loads of books and mags too. You will be one up on Amstrad then :-)
