Hiya!!

friend of mine has nearly finished an Splatterhouse remake.. take a look:

    This is soooooo weird, I was at work last night wondering what the New version of this game will be like and thought to myself "I wonder if anyone has made a decent remake of this game, I think I'll google Splatterhouse Remakes, when I get in". I'd completely forgotten about it until I saw this thread now.

    How spooky is that?

    I know there was the ANSI-Splatterhouse remake from a couple of years back, but tbh it looked a bit pants so I didn't bother with it.

    That does indeed look very good. I love the music too as I loved The Misfits Era II :D

    Bloody hell that looks good. Splatterhouse is one of my all time favourite games and I still play it on MAME even now.

    Just out of interest was this ever finished?

    Seem to be able to find a few vids of it kicking about but that's about it really?

    When I saw this thread was updated I thought they'd finally released it.

    Damn you boozie for getting my hopes up :-P

    I know I'm waiting for this getting released whilst waiting for Streets of Rage Remakes v.5 to be released whilst waiting for various other remakes and goodies to be released :D

    I can't get the link to work - it goes to YouTube and I'm confronted with a blank screen instead of a video!

    As blank screens go, it is rather good!

    Check out the user's channel instead, you might be able to see the videos from there. If that doesn't work, get a browser that works :-P

    I just tried but got it stuck at about the F key. I'm now in severe pain and daren't sit down. Don't TRY IT YOURSELVES!

    Try it with a laptop. But let it warm up a bit first!

    Just been over to RR, this has been released, downloading it now :)

    It's pretty big though, over 100MB, which isn't much but for a Retro type remake that's pretty hefty.

    It's a slavver on to get it though.

    The rapidshare link got took down.

    You have to sign into the site (there's a user and pass given, already so you don't have to).

    ....and I suppose the guy who set that up is going to put a mirror up on the Retro Remakes forum where the discussion is taking place.

    I have high hopes for this it's one of the remakes I've actually been waiting on :)

    Looks quite good - it was one of two really good arcade games (that and I, Robot) that used to be regulars at the summer travelling fair we had in the village.

    Played it on MAME loads, but can never beat the guy with chainsaw arms. Once you're out of ammo in the rifle, how the hell are you supposed to punch him?

    Use the sliding tackle on him, I think 2 of those after you've shot him a couple of times is enough to kill him off.

    I've just tried to download it, but after registering with the site, it won't log me in, so I can't download :( I'll just have to wait for it to appear on another site at some point as this looks ace :)
