    I love this programme. I'm not sure why but I didn't really have a high opinion of Mackenzie Crook until this then had to admit to myself that I was wrong.

    Well, the production values of House of the Dragon Ep.1 look good. As in the sets, costumes, spectacle etc. However, I thought some of the CGI looked ropey in places. Not the CGI rendering detail as such (which was good|), but the superimposing and/or green screen insertions/overlays, which stood out at times.

    As for the show itself, I really enjoyed it.
    It perhaps doesn't have the incredible range of fascinating characters that Game Of Thrones had, but that's probably down to the limited source material. For the most part, the dramatisation of what is essentially just historical chronicles has hit the spot. The depiction of Aemma's desparate c-section was really quite harrowing....

    I'm watching House of the Dragon right now. Yea that c section scene was brutal. So far pretty good but that jousting scene went on for too long.

    I think it was meant to both that and the C section scenes were juxtaposed together side by side

    My beard is getting out of hand now, it’s getting quite big, but because of how I used to shape it before I let it grow out it’s like a wizard beard now. If I trimmed the sides and underneath down but left the front I could train a pretty good Ming the Merciless! :))
