Game database update
Great web site! I work as a programmer, and learnt my trade on the early Sinclair machines, so it is amazing to find someone who has invested the time into a fantastic resource like this.
A very minor update to the database. Producer/Author(s) for both of these :

http://www.worldofspectrum.org/infoseekid.cgi?id=0002928
"Russ" & "Russell", they are both the same person. (me)
Full Name "Russell Newman"
I can hardly remember the work on Lop Ears (I think it was mostly game objects), but I did all the Spectrum Spike work.
If anyone is interested, I now do more coding that graphics work, and mainly web stuff. (Among other things, I run the chess site, http://www.redhotpawn.com)
Anyway, thanks again for a great site!

Now a question? Was Spike in Transylvania in any way a sequel to Spike?
It came over as c64 demo, and we ported it to the Spectrum. I do not believe they are related.
Just for the record, I did some of the alien graphics on this too :

Including those aliens in the screenshot. Can't remember much else about it - in fact, I know it made a free tape demo, but I was never sure if it was released. (Interceptor folded around that time.)
They were interesting times then, as a freelancer I would come and go as I pleased from a *huge* office with about 4 people in it! (And lots of tape stock of old games)
Hardly a huge input into the Spectrum scene, but hey, it was quite cool to get a credit in print at the time. :)
And if you have any anecdotes about the Spectrum days, we'd be glad to hear them!
