Way of the Exploding Fist, loved it on speccy but c64 version was perfect.
Last Ninja series.
Ghostbusters (but I can't remember why)
But heres the thing - Commando is mentioned by a few people and I got a different problem with both versions. Firstly the Speccy: on the third time round (i think 3rd), the bad guys' bullets become far too fast to dodge when you reach the section with the small huts. Secondly, the C64- It just doesn't get any more difficult after you've completed it a couple of times. You just loop round and round for ever. Tapper was the same.
I've a vague memory of Rambo being better for the C64 too. Maybe something to do with the helicopter but I can't remember exactly.
Not sure about Gunship. I remember you could only get about 30 degrees of pitch in the C64 version and that annoyed me. Except for that it was really good, barring the tape-swapping
I picked up a C64 brand new in the early 1990s, and managed to get monitor, disk drive and printer really cheaply. had a nice little set up for a couple of years, until I moved onto PCs.
Anyway, C64 games I particularly enjoyed were Flimbo's Quest, Creatures and Creatures 2, Bubble Bobble and Midnight Resistance.
