I watched Independence day last night, and I noticed that the Air force 1 and Area 51(underground part) levels look similar to the film sets.
i think they nicked the area 51 design, but for the airforce one level they just took the general design and is more like the set used in 'airforce one' eg they have the escape pod, which isn't on the real plane apparently.
i think both films used the real plane as a basis for their sets.
lots of the game is taken from film eg the bladerunner level.
if you want to see a good rip off from independance day on the N64, play lylat wars, there is a level with the big space ship trying to kill a city of sorts, extremly similar.
You can have guided tours these days. If you bribe one of the guards with 20p and a packet of rolos they even give you tour of the hidden zones where they keep all the xenomorphs and alien technology.
