Theres f**k all wrong with stonkers , its a decent rts that gets the piss taken out of it - mostly unfair , that game was programmed when others were making crap space invader / centipede clones ! Give it a rest !
You have to put it into perspective. Granted if Stonkers came out in 1990 it would have got probably 20% in Crash.
Back in 1983 the games for the Speccy were very simple, Stonkers was pretty advanced for its time i thought. Yeah its not perfect but compared to lots of the other simple shoot em ups it was excellent.

Yeah, me too. Given that the topic is about the rating system and that he mentioned North and South (a game about the American civil war) I figured that was pretty obvious.
That said, Stonkers certainly has copped more than its fair share of criticism over the years.
As a newby to the forum, I am only just learning about the many stonkers jokes. But I have to say, way back when, I thought it was a really refreshing change and it probably got quite a few people into strategy games.:grin:
