PC help
I'm having problems with my PC.To cut a long story short, I had to have the hard drive formatted a while ago. Before then, my games were working fine, but since I've had my machine back and had everythig re-installed, most games randomly crash (unreal Tournement 3, Comand & Conqure 3, Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 to name just afew). I've made sure that I'm using the latest drivers for my graphics card (ATI Radeon HD 2600 Pro) and that Im running the latest game patches, but my games just all seem to stop randomly. Sometimes, the de-bugger kicks in and sends a report about the crash, other times, I have to reset the machine. I'm pretty sure that it's a problem with my graphics card, but my brther can play World of Warcraft for HOURS on end without any sign of a crash at all, but my games will crash within 5 mins of starting gameplay. Any ideas?

Try reinstalling DirectX? - Again, the other games might use certain dlls that WoW isn't.
Post the error message, perhaps?
Thanks, I'll try that when I have more time :D
I don't think it's an overheating issue, as it makes no difference if I start the games after the machine has been on for half hour or half a day.
Nope. All my diognostic thingys are all showing that everything is running fine. (My brother has once again been playing World of Warcraft since 7pm tonight with no problems at all (he's only just come off the bloody game now)
It's only games that are crashing. Everything else runs fine. From what I can work out, everything is installed properly. I do have an ATI sybble in the bottom right of my screen that wasn't there the first time around, but if I open that up, it tells me that I can set up my graphics card. When I run through that, it tells me that it's working fine.
I think it is, but how do I check?
START -> run -> type in DXDIAG
I recommend you TEST everything in there, just to make sure you are not missing bits.
***EDIT*** Tests completed and everything is running corectly Direct X 9.0c If I remember right.
