AGF Microtext Teletext Adaptor

I have got one of these little gems - I plug it into the Spectrum and the Spectrum still works - however, how do I test the unit?

    You must tune the TV or VCR on one channel with teletext. Connect one video (RCA) cable from the "VIDEO OUT" socket and the interface. You must have the software loaded to decode teletext.
