A nice edible Spectrum well done. If I were to caption that picture I'd say "Eat any key to continue" or "Ahhh cake loading error" for when you get drunk and miss your mouth.
Why don't you write the AI for Double Dragon? After all, you have plenty of experience writing AI routines for Spectrum 48K games?
I HATE beat 'em up games! I just don't 'get them'. If I did it there would be no way I would put 100% into it. And that wouldn't be fair. On the team or me.
The only thing I would be interested in would be copying the arcade machine as is, but it has already been changed into a Renegade clone (and you'd be hard pushed to compete with Mike Lamb). And I'd hate to tell the artists that they would have to start again from scratch to make the gameplay and all the visuals work.
And I don't like the game. I got the Mame rom and played it lots when that developent thread re-started - but I hate it! I tried, I really did. No joy for me!

It just had a voiceover saying "...and the legend keeps going: Frobush celebrates his 48th Birthday today!" while showing the third level of Cobra in slow motion intercut with black and white stock footage of teenage girls screaming. Ahh, those were the days!
