Some sort of request

Martijn, is it possible to make a page with a simple list of newly added program files?

What I mean - for example if the new version of old game was added or an old game added or a MIA - it will not be shown in "What's new", so it is easy to miss something there. For example that "Loups Garoux" game I wished to see recently.

So there is a need to get the list not by year, or a news, but by the date of adding into database. Maybe even in the Infoseek search add a criteria.

It seems like you are looking for "archive updates", which are actually already announced on the What's New page. So the mechanism you are looking for is already there...

In the case of Loups Garoux, see the latest archive update page, of 3 April.

Look at the top of the What's New page for all latest archive updates.

Not exactly. I would like to see all the updates sorted by date.

I mean that now to find out what was new - user have first check all the What's New? entries, then check all the "archive updates" (and he can't see older updates, only latest one).

Just wish a simple "Date added" near the file in the archive, and possibility to sort using that date. Possible?

Also, have another question. There are some genres, which are not searchable, like "Puzzle" for example. Why?

Sure, such a date system is already available too - it's called the file system. You can thus easily see when each of the 225,000 files in the archive was added or last updated.
There's a handy overview in the archive as well, in a lovely format: look for a plain-text file named "ls-lR" (also available zipped up, "ls-lR.zip").

This question has been answered quite often in the forums already.

Actually this is nice, but it is not possible to make a filter for it, i mean for example sort all the RPG by the date added, so it is not actually what I wished to have... I mean, of course you can say "if you need that - write your own parser for a ftp file", but actually I think it will be nice for a base to have an ability of sorting the results of search by the date added.

Did not found anything, maybe searched in wrong forum? What was the answer?

I'm afraid I'm not going to implement another service that only 1 person will use, with the limited time I have, given that the information is already available. So the answer would indeed be to find someone else to write this for you...
