A question for frobush....

Have just finished watching the Commercial Breaks programme (again). Was watching the section where David Ward was asking frobush about Pud Pud and for an MD he seemed quite a nice guy, quite approchable. Was that just an act for the camera or was he a genuinely nice guy? It seemed Ocean was a good place to work in the mid 80's or was that again for the cameras?

Although Dave Ward was also behind me, that was Paul Finnegan (Ocean's sales director) who did the talking. He later became my business partner at Special FX.

    We went bust.

For one reason or another I'm having to use the local library to use the internets (it closes early Friday and Saturday and shuts all day Sunday) - but it's just becomming such a pain to use of late that I'll not be bothering with it anymore (I may be offline for a while).

I'll have a biggish site upload Wednesday morning (using my system), and hopefully be back online full time (oh no!) a few days later.

    GRRRRRR!

Not at all, don't worry. I had first found the video of that Ken Tanaka bloke on YouTube a while ago, but I had forgotten what it was called so I just googled "Ken Tanaka" and "Jonathan Smith" together and found the thread on that site which described it briefly with a few matching YouTube links. I didn't even notice what site it was at first, was considering to edit my post here on WOS but couldn't be arsed. Oh well.

Searching for ""Jonathan Smith" on its own produces zero hits.

    Oh, sorry! 25,400,000 hits!

I always get those two numbers mixed up!

    Who'd have thunk it?

Whenever I type my name into google there's loads of me's, the real kick in the eye for me is they all seem to be doctors or architects, or successful artist types.

Wheras I stock shelves at nightime in an American Supermarket, worrying if my jobs gonna be fucked when Wal-Mart opens up over the road in a few months.

My career in a punk band lasted all of 6 weeks, and my career as a gangsta rapper never got started

My career as a pro BMX rider fell through, because it's just too expensive to maintain a BMX, sounds crazy but it's true. Bits cost so much money, it's no wonder all the pro-riders have posh accents.

I never made it as a skater either, kept breaking my ankles and things, gonna be limping like john wayne by the time I'm 40 I reckon.

But seriously, I've still got time to write a game from scratch, that isn't a lost cause, and is infact one of my lifes ambitions. Even if I don't release it or make a single penny from it, I'll just be happy if I do it.

I know just how you feel.

I'm just waiting for the magic word.

Society isn't too polite these days, is it?

Errr ?? We've all begged you countless times to release Saucer ! So yet again, per-leaseeeeeeeeeeeeeee !

    That's not the magic word!

    LOL!

Soon - I'm hoping for a double blasted 'releasy' thing! Corner all markets!

EDIT - have you never heard of "The Boy Who Cried Wolf?", or its modern incantation "The Fro Who Cried Saucer?"
