I was flipping through an old edge magazine from 2003 and in the news section there was a story about the iminent release of a diy console kit that you could program in basic and c. At the time it was released i didnt have internet access so never looked intio it any further but i googled it today and it is still going and i was wondering if anyone had baught one or if they know if they are anygood.

cost's about 150 dollars.
i suppose you would use it to learn how to make a basic console, rather than use it to make a console that would rival the PS3.
it sounds like a great little project to get stuck into, and it seems to be for any level of skill.
as i see it the main target audience would be people who wanted to go into this sort of thing as a job.
have a look on the forum, that usually tells you the health of the community. :)
