I thought the Spoonful of sugar was for when you ate or drank something too hot temperature wise, like if you burn your tongue on hot soup for instance, you hold a teaspoon of sugar in yer' gob for a while and it's supposed to sooth the burning sensation. Didn't think that would work for a spice burn though, but it may fool your tastebuds into thinking it's not burning due to the sweetness though?...

Chillis don't actually burn though, they are just an irritant that fecks about with your taste buds and provides the sensation of a burn. Sugar actually absorbs the capsaicin oil and neutralises the irritant.
Think of the chilli capsaicin oil as lying on your left arm for 40 minutes until it goes numb.
Think of eating the chilli as having a Tommy Tank.
Now think of eating the sugar as actually looking down and realising it's your own left hand.
See...? Sugar takes away the sensation. "Little" Boozy is most certainly not between Erika Eleniaks badoofers...it was all just a sensation.
...not sure if this is the correct scientific description though tbh...I got a BA not a BSc
If that's the case couldn't you just use any dry powder to soak it up, you know chalk, brick dust, dandruff, etc?
I'd have said "No". You see, the dry powders you list wouldn't absorb the oils...they'd be mixed with the oil I reckon. Giving you a solution. The oil would still be there but with little bits in. The sugar crystals would actually soak up the oil like a sponge.
A nice composition of INKs 7, 6 and 5 (5 outside the saucer) ... with a slight hint of 0 on the bread, but not enough for the burnt food council to be alarmed. All in all, would scoff!
