It's only a joke if other people know that it is a joke. And in any case, some jokes just aren't funny.
It's a public forum sure, but filling threads up with inane off-topic and/or rude and insulting messages - even in the chit-chat section (although it has not just been confined to there) - just messes up the signal-to-noise ratio for everyone and makes the forums that little bit less pleasant to spend time in.

I think his missus has just dropped a kiddie...I don't have any (still practicing! :grin:) but I imagine the lil' critters take up a fair amount of your time!!
