Has anyone successfully used one of these "free gift" websites successfully. I understand that they are legitimate, but that can be a struggle to get enough referrals to actually get anything.

I ask because on the way back from the cricket on Sunday, I was incredibly drunk and fell asleep on the tube. When I woke up in Epping at 22:30, it was quiet apparent that I'd been robbed.

I'd quite like to replace my ipod touch without doling at ?300 and was wondering if I were to sign-up to one of these things if any of you lovely people would do an old spec-chum a solid and sign-up to the "Love Film" trial. It doesn't cost anything and you get a free DVD rental from it.

Bit cheeky I know. By all means tell me to f*ck off.

    soz mate we just completed our love film trial thing, we got refered by a mate too, out of kindness i thought, but if it was to get a free ipod, i will be asking them some questions.

    by the way, that free love film trial is great, i'd suggest any wossers sign up on Tom's referal. we got some great DVDs out, and no pressure to carry on.

    Bad luck on getting robbed, but I think you'll be shelling out for a new one...

    Those referral websites are just rip-offs... Once you're on board, your address gets sold to every spam joint out there. I certainly wouldn't join one.

    my mate does one, and he's always getting free stuff. some will be worse than others.

    your better off robbing some kid of his ipod, they have them quite young these days, try to get on that looks a little like into the same music, you might get some good songs on it.

    Thanks mate.

    I do honestly believe these things are legitimate though, and do not sell your information on, besides it's pretty easy to set-up a Yahoo account.

    Irrespective, I'm not going to try and pressure anyone, I just wanted to see what kind of reaction I got.

    I live in East London. I would be stabbed before I got anywhere near them
