Gutted ! Renato dies

Didnt have the album/single etc at all but the male singer from 'Renee and Renato' died the other day. Amazing how many people knew this song and obviously the jokes/spoofs about it

    Tis a tragedy I say, a tragedy.

    Apparently, he was a very talented singer. To tell the truth, looking back at that song, it's not nearly as bad as it's made out to be.
    I stole it off a space ship.

    A bit of a local hero, his [sons] resaurant is only few miles away in Tamworth.

    I remember the awful video to that song, with him singing and throwing roses up to some maidens window. The song was awful, but funny how I remember the song and video all these years later...

    Awww, that sad he popped his clogs. RIP :-(

    Christmas Number 1 in 1982 - that's right in the Spectrum era.
    He will forever be remembered for the Wall's advert "Just One Cornetto".
