Yeah ... it's the "presents" part I don't care for ... that usually means "Hey, we are making this movie and we need someones name to give it that extra hype" ... but even if it didn't have his name glued to the front I would still want to go see it ... It doesn't really matter to me whose name is on the front really ... no, really, I'm not kidding ... really.

tbh, peter jackson wanted the director to direct his halo movie, but that fell apart so he promised the director he'd help him make another movie. so i think he gave financial support, and prolly some advice.

it's like 'warner brother presents'. reather than 'croatian films presents'. you need that little bit of quality on the front of the DVD/poster, cos it didn't look like it had a massive marketing budget, more cheap virul marketing. he was prolly helping out rather than something cynical.

I can ... in line ... got tickets ... seeing the movie ... watched it ... pretty good ... don't waste too much money on the tickets though ... well, as much as it takes ... aside from that ... do hesitate to not go see this movie.

We don't have a cinema here - the nearest one is well too far away! And it's not released in the UK yet! I'll have to the illegal thing (as usual - don't like doing that. But what choice do I have?) and get the DVD if I like it.

apparently the director is a "protege" of Peter, so its a bit more than just needing a big name :P
its like hes being taught by the great man :P

anyway i have the final 43 minutes to watch tonight and its an excellent film, the aliens are like a mix of prawns and the original aliens.........and the speed at which they kill reminds me of starship troopers.

the first 20 minutes is like a documentary, and being based in south africa its a bit more grim and grimy than yer usual hollywood alien films.....independence day it aint :)
