Shame that, I like Oasis, although not as much as I used to.

Imo, Liam should have been kicked out, he's an arrogant tool living off his brother's talent. He'd be a nobody if it wasn't for Noel.

Thank fuck they've split. Never liked the band, and particularly never liked Liam.

In related news, Oasis were still going up to that point.

Run out of money? Maybe? New album out? Cancel gigs? Fight?

How to get people to get talking!

    Cynical me! We'll see!

There is a tribute band called "No Way Sis". They are rubbish too - but doublably so!

About 15 years too late if you ask me, they were a bunch of wankers, and one of these days I'm going to take a shit on Liam Gallaghers doorstep.

I swore I was going to do that when I was about 17, it may be 13 years later but I'm still hopeful :D

I think you are all being a bit harsh. They were great in their day, and Acquiesce was a particularly superb number. I liked Pulp too but always thought Blur were dreadful mockney rubbish.

oasis were ok, cant say im a fan, like some of their songs now and again, i always loved the banter between the brothers in interviews tho...it is priceless

now might be the best time to sell the oasis / britpop poster mags that i have kept since the mid 90s maybe lol, might be the last time for prime sale?

Can't say Im that bothered. I liked some of their tunes in the 90's, but they have dated so badly.

Given my more depth based knowlge of music, looking back I can say that much past 1998 was original.

I never liked them. but from what I could see, they were OK (as a band I mean, I'm not up on who did what, so I can't judge the individuals, but isn't Liam the tosser? The one whose always trying to live up to the (fool's) image of a rock star with the violence, the arrogance, and the so on?), but certainly light years from being "better than the Beatles", which I believe one of them once claimed.

They were OK, but what really killed them off for me is whoever engineered their albums, they were totally and completely incompetent.

Clipped, continuous loud *noise*. Now, some bands are supposed to be loud, but loud doesn't mean force the levels up until after they get clipped and just sound harsh and tiring to listen to.

More harsh, more tiring "Brown Ale Song" forever!!!! :D

Noel should have kicked that wanker Liam out years ago. At least Noel can write songs and play guitar.
He's better off without his no talent brother.

He's a better "singer" aswell. Mind you, there's not many worse than Liam!
Oh, no. Every time you turn up something monumental and terrible happens.
I don’t think I have the stomach for it.

    Mockney? Mockney!

Unlike the Gallagher's you wouldn't catch Damon in a Mickey Mouse cartoon pop band...
