Title says it all, my one and only cassette recorder has given up the ghost, so I'm desperately after a new one, if anyone has one going spare.

Sony TCM-939 also works fine....and is still manufactured.
It has ear and mic sockets and runs on 3 AA batteries.
Nice little thing.

EDIT: Just checked on Ebay. You can get new ones for ?25.

I have one myself, and it sure works with the Speccy.
It also have auto shut-off that works with FWD/REW (not all have that).
And it comes with an AC PSU.

I modded my TCM-939 so it has a motor control port, really useful for some micros which pretty much require it :)

I see shoe box tape recorders going all the time at carboots for 50p. I've picked up quite a few of them Sony TCMs and well for about ?2.

The Sony jobbies are/were available at Argos. That's where I bought mine earlier this year. Can't remember the price but ?24.99 sounds about right.
