Hmm, all magazine references and adverts specify what the original publisher is Image Works, not Thalamus.

Price for Spectrum - ?7.99 (?12.99 for disk version)

I have found one more reference which can be added to the Bombuzal magazine references:

    YS Issue №33, page 7, T'Zers (Image Works News/Note)

    The credits have been corrected.

    How about magazine reference? ;)

Here is told about two games which should be published by Image Works company - Mainframe and Speedball (It is told that they are not finished for Spectrum yet).

Thanks for the reminder, biotoxin, I overlooked that link!

The two games have been added to the database, as Never Released.

I don't have any idea what Mainframe could be (sounds like a working title, Google and Wikipedia don't show it as a video game).

Speedball looks like bad luck for us Speccy users. It appeared on lots of other 8-bit systems and the pics look okay. I constructed an entry with the other systems reported, plus a Wikipedia reference.

Que Dex and Junter's Moon should also be added as never released, then - since the article mentions them as forthcoming Spectrum releases too.

On a side note, I wonder why so many titles show up as having been announced for the Spectrum but never released, although they were coded for other systems and in particular for the diarrhea-colored doorstop. Even stranger given the Spectrum's popularity.

I think you mean Hunter's Moon...

Bear in mind there were also a lot of Spectrum games that were going to be converted to other formats and were never released...

Hunter's Moon and Que Dex have been added to the database, both as Never Releases (with links and all).

not really, remember the ORIGINAL thalamus versions etc were normally c64..

thalamus had games that were never put out , or had stuff submitted.. and they went bust (they owed a few people money I know)

but piracy on c64 was slightly less, e.g. multiloaders... not by loads but lots would buy the games.. hence why they were hesitant...
lets face it the none c64 versions of things were s*** compared..

e.g creatures and armalyte were cack on amiga
