Also the fourth page of the (PDF) manual mentions a company(?) called Hardware International which is not listed in WoS.

Would this perhaps be the company behind the fabrication of the tablet?

    No, that was Saga. Perhaps they manufactured the tape?
    They don't get any mention in the (hardware) adverts at any rate, so I have nothing to go on...
