I totally agree, although this year I can blame the lack of cards on the postman not working sundays. I suppose the five sackfulls will arrive by special post tommorrow, although they were lost in the post again last year, it has happened for as many years as I can remember...............

I do know what you mean. I remember my barren years all to well. I used to hate watching couples, walking in the street kissing, cuddling and laughing as if to rub it in to all the single out there.
I remember once a while after I'd exited a long relationship, I just screamed out loud, "I Just want a F**cking hug!!, walking home pissed and lonely after a night out with everyone coupley" (or was it the other way round)
To be honest, i felt pissed off yesterday. I saw these flower delivery men delivering flowers to various females in the flats i live in. It made me realise i was the only single person in the whole block!
Life can be shite sometimes! Hate being single. Can be quite lonley sometimes! (cue violins!) :-(

Get yourself out then fella on a friday night with your mates, down a fair few pints for dutch courage and start chatting to some layyy-dees !
Even if you dont pull just get some female 'friends', that then starts a big network as you then meet her friends friends (might be a nice one there) or even her friends friends friends etc. Thats what i used to do, get a good social network of people (Real ones not 'online' ones !)
There will be many females in your position on sunday thinking 'why cant i find anyone...' etc. But blokes can be just as bad as women and being way too fussy or 'punching above their weight' so to speak !
Get yourself away from thai women in chat rooms and go down a few of your locals and start socialising ! Get yourself a good network of male/female friends and then eventually you'll start getting introduced to a few of the single girls etc.
PSJ, you're probably right. Theres a works night out a week on friday so we'll see what happens then.
With regards to going out with mates, to be honest we had a MASSIVE (and i mean massive) fall out a few years ago and we all haven't spoken since. All my other mates are married so i can't see them wanting to go 'out on the pull'.
So we'll wait and see what happens next week!:smile:
When i was younger i messed up quite a few times by being way way too keen early (really put the girls off, i didnt learn !). Then i started the 'network' thing by just becoming a girls mate (Believe me its frustrating but you have to bite the bullet !) but eventually you might get introduced to a nice lass which you connect with.
Difficult though, highs and lows, get blown out, let down and you feel like crap, the early stages with some girl when its all going well and its the best feeling ever.
Still think booze helps a ton ! Trying to chat to a girl whilst sober in a pub, just uncomfortable !
On the other side of the coin, i know more and more friends are getting married but theres also a lot of females who are now panicking about becoming a spinster with 4 cats at home. Should be easier to gather some of these girls in ! ;)

Just make sure you get someone before you are 40, fat and bald ! Think being 40, fat and bald and single wouldnt be ideal !
(On the plus side Xmas/Valentines is far cheaper when youre single !)

I don't think i'll go bald, my hair going grey though (my family tend to keep their hair till a good old age). As for fat........i have put on some weight since xmas that hasn't went away however, plans are in place to shift it once the better weather comes in, get the bike out and go cycling!
And i ain't 40 yet......another 4 years to go!
