I wouldn't mind going just to see Eat Static... seriously doubt any of my mates would be up for driving that far though, so unless I get a coach (which make me very ill for some reason, and trains will be extortionate), it's looking bleak!! :-(

They got back together last year to do a few shows to promote a "best of" compilation they'd released... and I think they've played some shows this year too.

They live fairly near me, in Sevenoaks, Kent.

I have a load of Eat Static stuff somewhere (my collection is vast and random!), and, of course Dreadzone are cool too...

I have a vinyl of an eat static track. I cant remember its name, but it starts by a synthesised voice that sounds a bit like a man saying 'the word' then the tune goes (rythmically) do-doodleoot-do,, dah-dah-daH, do-doodleoot-do, da-da-daH do-doodleoot-do,, da-da-daH, do-doodleoot-do, da-da-daH (then a wonan's garbled voice kicks in saying something like woodle-oo,do do do do doo,(repeats a few times) This is genuine btw, and if anyone can get it from this description, Much respect!!:p

Ignore that gibberish- i have found it- it's 'gulf breeze'- well....it has been many years since I heard it!

Found one of the Eat Static tracks I used to play out - "Mother Planet". Sadly it's a 'b' side on this and not on YouTube...

    ...and here is "Gulf Breeze"...
