I got Rambo III on bluray the other day. I've not seen Rambo(II) for donkeys years so I dunno which sequel is the worst. III wasn't bad, the horseback footie was shite, but the rest was ok. All I remember of Rambo(II) is the classic line "...I'm coming to get you!" before JR beats the living crap out of a few enemies. I and IV are brilliant movies.

Ahh, Rambo. Yes. As it happens, Rambo III is my favorite of the films, with II in second place and the original one in a last-but-not-least kind o' way. They're all super-fab! Not seen the remake though. It is a remake, right?

I hear that Rambo V will be released later this year. Isn't Stallone a bit old to play Rambo now?

I didn't care for Rambo nor Rocky, both were crap in my opinion ... there, I said it ... neither of the series appeal to me ... there, I said that also.

He'll be playing his elderly uncle in this one.

Hes ancient alright but in Rambo 5 i think he was actually 60, but if you watch the film he doesnt come across as an OAP etc, Rambo 5 was surprisingly good. Old skool 80's action with a basic plot. Think everyone was expecting the film to be embarassing but it got some decent reviews. Would prefer Stallone to finish the series though (had a kinda of 'final ever film' ending as well).

Even though they were sooooo OTT back in the 80's i kinda miss the Swarzenegger and Stallone old skool films, eg Commando/Rambo etc.

Actually Rocky IV is probably the best film I've ever seen at the cinema. The place was packed and everyone was cheering like it was a proper boxing match - atmosphere was electric.

I remember watching Rocky IV at the cinema, i'm not embarassed to admit that when that music at the end comes on after his fight you just get major major goose bumps. Same for Rocky I when he starts shouting 'Adrian, Adrian...' etc.

    Classic movie moments !

If you miss the action flicks of the 80`s psj then this might appeal:

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1320253/

Theres quite a few of the old and bold in this

I watched Deathwish 3, on ITV last week, for the first time. It's pretty hard to describe, and bears no real relationship to the previous 2. No real plot - Pauls mate gets killed, Paul gets arrested, Paul gets let out, Paul kills lots of hoods.

Not my kind-o-film really, but out of the 4, I actually liked number 3 the most. 1 and 2 make my skin crawl!
