$32 ain't too bad. I'd pay that, In fact I'm tempted, it would be a nice addition to my record collection.

Very Strange. I like strange :)

Does anyone know if this is a legit release ?

I only ask because in my collecting of records, I have noticed an influx of LPs coming from other countries, which never existed, a large number of them are lifted from legit sources and re-packaged as the real thing. They are high priced and often limited editions, but fake nonetheless. Does Mel Croucher know ?

It's legit. It was Mel who first told me about it.

so is he in America now ? If he were in England perhaps he would be able to offer supplies cheaper, or in bulk ( Hint, Hint ).

You mean countries like Veryfarawayistan, Gravelland or even Frobushia ?

Good to see this being released; I'd heard about the plans ages ago.

I was thinking more of Geraldia, ZnorXmanistan, Frobushammerstan, Grazbognonia, Fogypt, etc but who is counting.........................

No Deus Ex on it, they hint that they might release this in the future and at $32 for Europe ( ?22.12p in real money ), well even I think it is a little steep. It is funny really because only last week I downloaded the entire Automata soundtrack library and put it on two discs, which I have been listening to. The even funnier thing is I have never stopped listening to the Deus Ex soundtrack since it was released.
If it is just the music that people want to listen to, well that has been available for years, if it is the new packaging you want for collecting, then I am sure many of us will buy it. We just need someone to strike a deal with them to import it for us.

I have my copy ordered ( 26th March 12.30 ), so I will report back on delivery time, quality, packaging, and wow factor, etc.

I thought Mel was in the UK and hob knobbing with Nicholas Parsons.

Ooh, I want it. Not a bad price considering how cool the songs are! Another to go on my list of wants. Hope it's not a limited edition fingy.

i've got mine - very high production values on the packaging (very low production values on the music, but you know that already), gatefold sleeve with sleeve notes by croucher, new and old artwork by evans, plus an informed essay and lots of ephemera reproduced on the poster and inner sleeve

So have these tracks been mastered from the mp3 files on the internet, or are they better quality than that? Will it be available on CD I wonder? I gave away my turntable years ago.

Well it has arrived, 6 days to England for delivery.

So I will take a leaf from the Piman`s book and spill the beans.

It was VERY well packaged, the sleeve is very well printed in stunning colour on very thick card, the album is pressed in heavy 180g format. The fold out sleeve has the poster of the many armed Piman from the press kit on it, inside there is two more pages of press kit stuff on the inside left and right side.

There is a double sided poster of the Piman cassete cover on one side and the press kit poster on the other, inside. The sleeve has a coloured cut-out Piman mask on it and more press kit stuff on the other side and a track listing and pictures of 12 of the game screens on ( in Black and White ). The album was also protected in a thick plastic sleeve with a coloured sticker on it with a bit of information about Automata on.

    The tracklisting is:

    [ Side a ]

    The Piland International Anthem

    Pi-Balled

    Crummy Song

    Pimania

    [ B side ]

    Some People

    Pompey Rock

    Leader of the Pac

    Video Nasty

    Bit of a Cult

    Ally Pally Wally

I don`t know if it has been cleaned up etc, but I have never heard it sound so crisp and clear, the whole thing is both visually and aurally a treat. It is a must for the collector, the problem is that it will be carefully stored away and very rarely hit the turntable.

That is the only criticism that I can make, I would have liked to see it produced exactly as it is, but instead of the L.P. 3 or four CDs with the whole 30 songs on and the Deus Ex Machina soundtrack as well.

But perhaps another 3 LPs are in the pipeline, it would also be nice to be able to buy the artwork in rolled poster form, for our retro dens. All in all a very well spent ?22.12p , A big Piman hug to Mel Croucher, he has made me very proud and happy to be a part of the Pimans Journey over the years.

So final verdict, buy one and love it !

Perhaps a little off topic, but has anyone been able to uncover what the Mel Croucher Deus-Ex-Machina 2 site is all about, I have tried to contact him about it, but have not had a reply yet.

Whoops just realised I should bump this.........
