My first 48k speccy was robbed by a cunt of a friend who said he'd fix it, and used parts from mine to fix his own.
Needless to say I haven't been friends with him for many many years now, but I think if I make it back home at the end of the summer I may go round to his house and take some stuff from him.
He's older than me and was bigger than me back in 1991, he isn't now (and I usually pride myself on no longer holding grudges, but the more I think about this the more it boils my piss!) :D

I feel your pain, boozy. I had the same with a mate who reckoned he could fix my Atari ST that had a problem with the disk drive, and 12 months later found out that he'd salvaged parts to fix his own ST after fobbing me off for months.
