I have an Acer laptop that i'm happy with. The only problem is that it's started taking ages to boot up. It sometimes takes as long as 5mins, my brother said it was because of Vista, is that normal for a laptop?
five mins is a long time for a newish laptop.
my ancient toshiba tecra M1 takes 2 mins with xp.
do the 'msconfig' thing in run, it might be loading a bunch of nasty viruses up when you are switching on.
ive never used vista properly though, so it mgiht be normal. :)
PS: If you bank with Barclay's you are entitled to a free copy of Kaspersky anti virus so a colleague was telling me.
you prolly find they are paying a "fee" for banking.. much like Nat west will do / include road breakdown cover + insurance type things etc
I binned Barclays recently , they totally ****d up my money and then took 20+ days to to send me out a new card (when it should have taken 10) and lied about things repeatedly
