Metal Man
Hi all.
Not sure where I got this game from (from www.olegorigin.com aparently ;-) ). Anyway, here is a TAP version of the game Metal Man . It is unfinished aparently - 1 level only. But it does have some nice graphics :) Enjoy...

check'em out:

etc.
it's a little treasure, apparently.
i'm trying to load it with zx spin, but i've never used trd files.
It's great that when you think that you have seen all quality Spectrum software, one day some bedroom coder decides to show his works to the world.
I tried this Metal Man quickly and while it plays a bit jerky, the graphics are great.
The other screenshots on this site are great too.
I'd like to see this other projects. I don't expect them to be highly playable as the author mentions Basic being used, but watching this art is fun enough.
It looks like he was more an artist than a programmer.
Will try Metal Man in a bit.... :)
For example im looking for years, one of ex-yugoslavian adventure game "Lajavkovo nasledstvo" based on Alan Ford comics, but without luck..
..and still hope that I'll find it somewhere..

Yep, I know the feeling... there are quite some Most Wanted ex-YU games on my site. I have gotten quite a few of them through the last years, so hope still exists we will get those too.
btw. Lajavkovo nasledstvo is based on "Lucky Luke" comics ;-)

Unfortunetly all that I could get is the loading screen...
Yes, i mixed the two games. :)
The game of which i speak is actually called "Alan Ford", and they made by the same authors as "Lajavkovo nasledstvo" and that's the only information i have about them, and that they are both adventure.

I always wonder why all these russian coders dont contact Cronosoft to release their games. There are a lot of them with high quality, like Stronghold.
I would love to play them on my Spectrum, really :)
We could ask Simon if Cronosoft could release some games exclusevely for the +3 ??
Would that be a good solution?
One game I would really love to see in the real machine is Prince of Persia, I would pay more than 30 ? for it!!
Love all the detail going on in the background, and it's great to see a load of decent games being released all over the place this year..!
The games look really nice graphic-wise :o

Generally there is no easy way, Ivan.
I've got an utility called trd2tap, dont't remember where I got it. But it will just copy all the bytes without changing anything in the code. The .tap will probably not work as there will be still disk reading commands in the code.
So it requires hacking and manually changing the appropriate code. Tough job.
Hmm didnt know that, I actually thought it was a more familiar thing to do :)
Thanks Ralf! ;)
