I thought I'd seen one/some at some point, but maybe it was just an advert or cassette inlay I can't be sure. Good game on the C64 mind, I have to say. I had it on cartridge.
The CPC version came out around December 1990 and was reviewed in the Christmas 1990 (Issue 64) of Amstrad Action, so any screenshots in Crash would be in that round-about time period.
The CPC version was good along with the C64 version but the Amiga version was better...
I checked all the Crash issues for 1990, when Flimbo's Quest was being advertised, and couldn't find any screenshots for that game. I also checked for missing pages, in case I'd missed it from the index that way, but all my Crash issues are intact.
Coincidentally, however, there are some screenshots in "monochrome with yellow and black graphics" in the Jan'90 Crash issue with the Flimbo's Quest news item, but they're for Black Tiger not Flimbo's Quest. An erroneous memory conflation, perhaps?
I haven't been in touch with Steve for years now; I wonder if he ever did look for the disk with the Speccy version of Flimbo's Quest? Perhaps I should get back in contact with him...

Excellent, hopefully someone kind will dig up their mags if they have that issue.

Dash it! Though I can see the similarities between the two games, at least from those screenshots.
