Tank Trax 2 player game
Does anyone remember a game called Tank Trax? Just reviewed it on my site.
I got it on re-release by Mastertronic - quite a simple game for two players.
Anyone else ever play it? It's pretty crap but weirdly slightly addictive.

D'oh!
I used to play it quite a lot back in the day too. Despite it's shortcomings there is something good about it.
Yes I bought it on the Mastertronic label when it was released....I think it might have been the FIRST mastertronic game I bought and it forever sullied my opinion of them....but as you say...even though it was crap I played it and still remember it above other much more worthy games....weird indeed.
(I'd have been upset if I had paid full price for it)

Didn't it have a crappy darts game on the other side of the tape as well?
But yeah I used to whup my Dad at Tank Trax - then he would stick on Daley Thompsons Decathlon and trounce me. The only game he could ever beat me at! :p
I'm not sure... I know there was a rather crappy darts game released by Mastertronic though (it's called Darts here, but the one I had was called Bullseye).
It's also worth pointing out that the first time I saw worms, I actually said "that's just like Tank Trax" :D
later they released it with bullseye as a double pack
(I have both versions)
it was far from the best tronix game, but i did used to play the game with a friend... then years later... gorrillas on qbasic on a pc .. same thing.hehe
i'm trying to remember what machine I played a simular game at the time, wasn't a speccy
comparing it to worms.. hhmm ... I'd say worms was a cross between that + battle valley , they were obv going for the lemmings market. Probably put red-rat on the map, if you had an atari 8 bit or st you'd know em, but until worms, well I doubt much more knew em
