Ooooo yes, let the inappropriate touching begin!

When I come to think about it, was there ever an explanation to why the sequel of The Terminal Man was never finished in Crash? I always wanted to know what happened.

I checked with Roger whether the new book contained the conclusion of the second story. In reply, he said that it only had the original story, and that Oli had never finished the second. He finished by saying, "maybe one day, who knows??"

Pressure of time as well as low reader approval... latest info I've heard is this reprint includes some extra repainted material...

    I'M SOO HAPPY!

    my book has arrived!

    SIGNED BY OLI HIMSELF!

Reading the intro detail, three pages had to be completely redrawn as the originals of those were lost. It even specifies which ones!

I'm soo gonna read this now! Laters!

I've just compared one of the restored pages to the magazine original, and bugger me, you really couldn't tell that Oli had completely redrawn it without scrutinizing it carefully! Rock and roll!

Jealous? Me? Oh yes. I've just ordered mine. How did you get it signed? I've always loved Oli's work.

Part of the pre-order deal. If you pre-ordered, you got a signed copy. You could always ask Roger (Kean) if Oli could sign yours I suppose!

OOO yes I have a reply from Roger! Here is an extract:

    "Thank you for your order.

An anagram of your surname narrowly misses out on being Mangram?

Yes, your copy will be signed by Oli !"

Oh yes! A signed book from Oli Frey on my birthday!

    Is that you?

Nice to put a face to the name, but why do people always look totally different to how you imagine?

Yes it's me, fresh out of bed and the exact look anyone would expect if you were gonna take a photo of yourself and throw on whatever clothes where nearby, after getting up only a couple of minutes earlier.

I must remember to shave before I go back to work tomorrow.

Excellent - will have to try and buy a copy of this myself.

    :)
    No one important.

I really wished they had continued part two, was gutted when it ended prematurely!

So was I, though I can't remember the specifics now.

Roger just e-mailed me back after I had a few questions and comments, and he told me that the idea was that there would be a 48 page episode of each of the Dyson Spheres, but that would mean Crash running until today (no bad thing in my eyes! ;) ). Simply cost and demand would make completing the cancelled sequel unlikely.

So, everyone chip in, send them money and bribes so Oliver can finish what he started! :D

Wonder what happened to the other book of artwork Oliver did? I think it was for Rogers previous company: Thalamus Books?
