    Yup, agreed Mile.
Typical that the British Police would waste their time doing this. Glad I bugged out of the UK before the country descends completely into a Totalitarian state.

I wonder, if I sent a similar email to 10 Downing Street, would I be banned from the UK? And where would I be sent - at the expense of the good old British tax payer? I think the Caribbean is punishment enough for someone like me.

    Regards,

    Shaun.

You'd probably end up zipped up in a sports bag..and to make matters worse, they'd put it out that you were involved in some weird asphyxia sex game.

Hmm, I heard that there was a list of about 50 words, and that if so many of them appear together in one email..it gets flagged by the men in black.
I stole it off a space ship.

You would probably find yourself on the urban terrorists register, then if you find yourself in a group of more than 5 people you can be arrested for civil unrest. So no more Football games, queueing at a supermarket or the cash machine, or waiting for a bus. Plus you would have you entire household on a lifetime internet ban ! Just post it to him and put Miles return address on it, just to be on the safe side !

Me and the missus had a bit of a laugh about this yesterday, as well as government agent in the holdall incident.

    Both somewhat bizarre.

Whoops, you have used the only other banned words, You will probably end up like John Kelly, complete with blunt knife with no fingerprints, no blood at the site, nothing within the vicinity to have jumped off, no bye bye note, missing manuscripts with are just about to be published and tell all, and men in black suits at the isolated incident site the day before, talking to their sleeves !

It seems totally OTT but i'm glad they named and shamed him so to speak.

Nowadays every oink now can write any crap they want on youtube or other sites. I heard he wrote some crappy abusive email after seeing a program about 911 and decided to 'rant' at Obama.

If i've just seen some program (I did watch one or two over the weekend) about 911 and all the many sad deaths and stories the last thing i would do is then to send a stupid abusive email (also on the anniversary).

    The kids been totally stupid.

If i watch a program on the July 7th bombings and then 'drunkenly' decide to email a charity for victims of 7/7 and moaning about Blair and the bombings that day i would think it would be made public and i would be 'shamed'.

I still remember 911, they let us leave early that day, i was working in London (they thought in case there were attacks there), by the time i got back to Reading station i remember people just standing there stunned reading the evening standard about what was happening in NY. Some stupid chavvy kid was shouting out 'glad all those americans died....' over and over, wish i had lumped him.

On 9/11 all the buildings around ours were 'evacuating' and going home...we asked our boss if we could and he basically said "f$$$ you....do you really think they are going to fly a plane into some obscure industrial estate"

    ...was worth a try though.

You won't be saying that when he gets a record deal out of it. In fact he'll probably write a book about it which will get made into a film starring Tom Hanks, Then EA will buy the rights and make a video game which will be crap but sell by the bucketload. Then Obama will apologise and the kid will seek compensation. He'll later go on to be President. Probably.

Don't forget the 'hand shake and beer' on the White house lawn with Obama and the defamation $$$...

and the kid will seek compensation.

That got me thinking about that Star Wars kid. Remember that fat little kid pretending he had a light sabre ? Was funny as anything and surely 'legally' you were allowed to laugh at him.

Didnt realise how long ago that was, saw a recent picture of the fella, hes qualified as a attorney i think (was some good legal type role) and seems to be doing well.

So all those years of taking the mick didnt hurt ! ;)

Fair enough, he was stupid and maybe deserves to be named and shamed. Or maybe he doesn't, as presumably e-mails are meant to be private. But either way it does not merit legal punishment, and certainly not a lifetime ban from the country. Imagine if he'd e-mailed Saudi Arabia or someone Islam, and insulted them and they'd then banned him for life, all the western countries would be calling Saudi Arabia or whoever "backward, over-reacting, with a totally disproportionate response to the Western tradition of freedom of speech". Yet when America goes against freedom of speech then it's fine...

On the other hand though, us Brits can't criticise - our country is too far the other way; we won't deport known terrorists or murderers due to their "human rights".
