Yes R.I.P Norman. If Im correct he was living in the IOM. Also spending time painting. He made generations laugh over the years and still will for years to come.

    RIP Norman...

The only constellation is that for the next week or two the quality of UK television will improve just a bit.

Sad news, had a great innings though. Bizarre how popular he was in Albania!

Never was a huge fan I must admit, his humour just seemed for an older generation. Did seem a very nice friendly bloke whenever you saw him on TV, RIP

I think he was popular becuase the Government would only allow his films to be shown.

He came to my workplace once to sign first day covers or something like that for the philatelic lot.

Never found him funny past the age of about 9. I always thought there was something wrong with him to be honest. Love watching the early films though because of the period housing, cars, shops etc.

Hey i'm like that ! I'm not a fan of Minder or the Sweeney etc, but i do like seeing some episodes and just looking at the old cars or the fashion etc.

Its like some of the old news stories about the 8 bit revolution, seeing a shop with loads of 8 bits on display and big signs advertising the games etc, really takes you back.

Yeah, I loved his films back then. I remember not that long ago when he received his knighthood from the Queen he pretended to trip lol. Wish I could find a video of it. Still silly in his late eighties/early nineties:smile:
