Btw, "Et tu" can be accepted IMHO (literally, "you too").

Greek was indeed the language of the high society back then. A kind of fad I suppose.
But I agree, JC could have spoken whatever he wanted, in which ever language, and it wouldn't have made a dime of difference. For all you know, he must have uttered a certain four letter word at Brutus which got transcribed as "Et tu" or something!
