Different versions?

edited November 2010 in MIA/STP/SDP
I noticed that under some entries in the archive other TZX versions are listed as "alternative" or "different", yet there is not really any difference with the "canonical" version, not even different block names. Even comparing the tapes with Tapir shows sometimes "different data" between two blocks, but their length is absolutely the same. I wonder which criteria are used to mark a TZX as "different", then, since no visible difference can be found.

I think it might refer to where a tape was released with a different inlay?
