I need a connection-logger

I have an old router which may have an intermittent fault.

Do you know any (free) progs that can do continous testing and logging to check if, and when, it may loses connection ?

    Network magic perhaps?

    I have it on my computer at home and it's pretty good for monitoring connections etc and managing access/files etc.

    Never used it for what you are requiring but it's pretty comprehensive so probably has a logging feature...might be worth taking a look if nothing better gets offered up.
