Phony have invaded my house, I've gone and bought a PS3.
First ever Sony anything that I've bought new (and even though it was less than half price I still feel dirty ;)).
My first PS1 was a 3rd hand jobby from a mate who got it from a burglar, my 2nd one was a fiver from a gameshop up the road, to replace the hooky one when it finally gave up the ghost 8 years after I got it (I only wanted the CD drive out of it). My 3rd PS1 here in the US was $35 from a junkshop, and only cost that much cos' I purposely sought out an old Mark 1 model because of the additional I/O port (the one they removed at Mark 3 due to people plugging mods into it).
My PS2 was $129.99 second hand with a memory card and a couple of games.
My PS3 is still in the box as I told my wife since I had a load more games to play through she could wrap it up for chrimbo for me, basically cos' once I start playing the new machine I can see my PS2 going back in the drawer for a long long time, and the Wii gathering even more dust than it is right now.
Still gonna keep the Wii though it has some quality games that I'm yet to finish with, before I completely lose interest in it. The PS3 model I have comes Netflix ready as well, so the Wii is even defunct when it comes to that feature. If the Blu-Ray feature in the PS3 is good I may even sell my Blu-Ray player (or we'll end up giving it to my wifes' grandparents?).

Does this mean you'll finally stop dissing current-gen consoles? ;)
Oi I've had a Wii for over a year, and I still think it's shit ;)
....as for the dissing of the PS3 we'll see?
Sell it then. I did....

I really like Nintendo, but I just find the Wii so dissappointing :-(
And I should think so too! :)
