Loco Bingo

Does anybody have any tips for Loco Bingo?!

I've bought pretty much everything Cronosoft sells for the Spectrum and it is one game I really like but I ALWAYS get stuck on "The Signal Box" level. I always end up with one carriage half blocking the vertical shaft, or having to wait an age for the correct combination of numbers. Sadly, the POKE from The Tipshop for infinite time doesn't seem to work for me!

I reckon Shaun Bebbington is having us on when he claims how far he can get in it :p

    The Signal Box is a real pain, but get past that and it gets easier. Last time I played, I was up to Stephenson's Rocket, which is level 13. I'll have to post a screen shot or something just to prove it.

    The problem with the signal box is that you have to be very careful when moving the carts around, they have to drop off the edges no more that one pixel after the end of the platform otherwise you can't drop the carts off the bottom of the screen. I'll have to find it and write up some proper tips for The Tip Shop.

    Ha, proof not required but it would be nice to see a later screen in the absence of one of Pavero's maps ;-)

    Still couldn't get past The Signal Box, so spent some time digging through the game and came up with a couple of POKEs to give infinite time:
    POKE 55180,0
    POKE 55189,0
    So at least I now know what the next level looks like!

    I feel vaguely cheated ('cos I HAVE cheated I suppose!) but at least I have turned the countdown timer back on via:
    POKE 55180,53
    POKE 55189,53
