Yes I got the shifting gears in the car meaning. As for the other one.. well after a great deal of thought I think I can make an educated guess, but I'll keep it to myself! :p
Actually it refers to a film called 'Into The West' which was all about a horse called T?r na n?g.
and the folk who lifted it from the film ? where they get it from ;) .. it goes back WAY further than that.. as a kid I remember my mum (who is irish) saying.. oh thats odd a game with an Irish title as she saw an advert for it in crash / YS / SU etc.. as growing up in Ireland you have to learn Irish
maybe they probably works on other (more serious) music, and thats a well comedy record.. a friend also had a hit song in Ireland, some people took it with fun, while others took offence. Or failing that 1001 other reasons :p . In ways its more fun people give their TRUE opinion of the music, not knowing the person behind it :lol:
