Are there any active Speccy mags?

I mean free .pdf magazines. They don't have to be 100% about Spectrum, but also about other old computers. And they should be in English :)

A quick Google unearthed this: http://retroactionmagazine.com/magazine/

There are a few more, but I cannot remember the titles at the moment.

For only a few euro's (8 per year) you will get 4 issues of the SPC.
    So why only free mags?

I found this just before Christmas in my local newsagent...I was stunned there would be a demand for this. It covers games from the zx spectrum through to PS1 - computers and consoles.

    http://www.retrogamer.net/

    Based near me as well!

Well, I know about Retrogamer but in Poland you can't buy it in newsagents...

Reminds me of something. In the final issue of Your Sinclair, there was an article on fanzines (pages 5 to 4, as the issue was numbered backwards) and in the section "Going Underground" it spoke of Steve Anderson and some other freelancers considering carrying YS on as a fanzine. The working title was Your St. Clair.

Could have been a joke, of course, but it doesn't read like one. Presume this never got off the ground?

I think viability is probably the main word here. Retrogamer still exists today beacuse it was bought out and redesigned. Still, it would have been nice for YS or Your St.Clair to have continued for a while longer

There is a German/English disk magazines and each issue comes also with a newsletter including the latest Spectrum news. On the disk are the newest games, utilities and demos. It is not for free, but the TAP-Version with PDF - Newsletter is rather cheap, 10 Euro for 2 years.
Of course many of the news and games you can find in the internet, but when subscribing to the mag you can stop searching through many websites. Of course there are also releases with were never released before and also the newsletter might be interesting for you as you get informed about user meetings in Germany, which might be not to far from your home.

Website is now only in German, English is not ready yet: www.speccy-scene.de

    Regards

Foggy? As in misty, or gaseous water, or its more common name, vapour(ware) ;-)
