Anyone know how to...

...fix uPVC doors?

It's basically in the top half there is a window and it seems to have dropped slightly or something...the plastic isn't flush against the sealed unit inside or out, sort of like the plastic has bowed or something, and I can wiggle the sealed unit back and forward. When it's windy you can feel a draft blowing in under the window in the door.

What's worse is that when it rains (which it has done quite a bit over the last week!) there is a puddle of water gathering inside the door under the sealed unit and if I press the plastic on the inside it sploshes out and runs down the inside of the door...

Is this fixable by a mere mortal like me?

(before anyone asks, the doors where fitted by a mate of a mate doing a Homer. Everything is fine apart from the back door but I don't have receipts or warranties etc...)

Any help would once again be appreciated...

Was it Safestyle UK who fitted them if so you're screwed **** what "The Windowman" says he's a lying fat cunt.

Expect years of callouts and bodging, or at least that's what the useless basts did to my ma and my gran at the time, and my gran had a dicky ticker and they sent round 2 dog rough stoners to fix the problems who made her a little paranoid, who made the probs with the plastering and the windows worse rather than better.

I'd have got angry with them, but I got on alright with them....and I took a few blasts off their spliff on their lunchbreak

At least they were honest though they told me and my gran we can patch it up for now but it's not going to be mint, we'll have to send someone else out to fix....whatever? The windows were still bollocksed long after my gran was dead, then all of a sudden they started working correctly on their own, probably cos' all the gaps were filled with mould from the damp and shit that happened because of the shoddy workmanship. But after about 4 or 5 years there was no condesation inside the windows and the house was toasty warm in winter.

Of course there was the issue of my bedroom wall closest to the window being green, I had to scrape that off bleach it and repaint it about 6 times.....very annoying, very very annoying.

Nah boozy, wouldn't have shaftstyle anywhere near my property! I've heard all the stuff about them...

This was all done a while back by a mate of a mate.

Just wondered if anyone on here could talk me through taking the door apart and re-seating the sealed unit or something...I'm getting cock all joy on t'internet about this sort of thing
