Selling Photo's on Stock Photo Websites.

edited January 2011 in Chit chat
I'm considering putting my DSLR to good use taking photo's that I would then submit for stock photo sites in return for a percentage of each sale.

Has anyone done/doing this. If so do you have any tips, dos, don't or warnings.

read the small print.. it's much like music / game royalties I guess. and say the sold 10.. in reality they could have sold 1000.. then do a vanish act and re-appear under another name.

nice idea, but with photobucket etc about , they better be very high standard

I've heard you should avoid grocers' apostrophes when selling stock photos, or anything else listed in quantities higher than 1 for that matter :p

Ah right, not my cup of tea. She looks like so many different people all roled into one. No I don't mean she's fat, just not memorable. I think I'd rather photograph the wife. Not that I'd sell them on stock photography sites, well not saucy ones anyway.
