j.r. hartley , the original and still the best ;-)

what sort of DJ has 1 deck anyway FFS (in the background ;) )

besides if he was around then, he'd be off his t**s on stuff and would look totally haggered

i watched it kinda knowing what was gonna happen, it put a smile on my face to remeber the original.

i guess that girl was meant to be his daughter. and to be honest he came across as a bit of a dick asking for something h already did, not that long ago.

JR harlty looked like he was remenising, rather than trying to look cool in front of his kid.

(i miss my firefox spell checker)

thing is though.. his daughter would have hooked him up with discogs THE site for such things..
it's pretty much what ebay is to auctioning.

friends dislike discogs in the sense, as it as their many fake aliases for music they made back in the rave days is showing exactly who made it and there may have been a few "iffy" samples used in their stuff.

mile whats up with ya spellchecker ?

Agree with Mile, thought the new one seemed anachronistic (Morkin's LWD), didn't quite work right or have the feelgood factor. The original gave the impression that he'd been searching for years for a book he'd written about 50 years ago.

(Wonder if there will be a remake of the Werther's Originals advert in about 20 years that tries to maintain the creepiness of the first..)

Love the Fry & Laurie parody, but I think the new advert is quite clever.

I liked the Hartly ads, cant stand the 118 duo, time they shot them live on telly.

That Irish bloke (forgotten his name?) annoys the peepee out of me so I won't be watching those vids. He always just strikes me as painfully unfunny.

Although I must admit he was quite good in that one off drama about that girl who got raped by an outstanding member of the community on her way home. Which resulted in a rather violent ending involving a pint glass and said rapists face.

I always preferd this one myself

Having said that, I think the new advert is rather cleaver. It reminds people of the older advert, but gives it soe relevence for todays search preferences.

By way of us discussing this here (and also on countless other forums), the campaign must already must be considered a success.
