Very angry

I have been looking online at various PVRs (mainly so the girlfriend can stop compaining that she does not have sky+ anymore and can't time-shift programs)

One site i looked at was richer sounds -the humax high-end models.

Anyhow, I have just gone on youtube and the right-hand side box which normally displays random adverts has three humax pvr's with a tempting 'click here' nonsense under each model.

How could this happen?

Is it a leak from youtube or the richer sounds site having software to shake hands with youtube.

It has co-incided with my anti-virus software running out for a few days, but i renewed it yesterday.
What can I do to stop this and at least assume the illusion of freedom of choice?:-(

    Just browser cookies.

    Set your browser to privacy surfing or disable cookies though a lot of sites will not work then.

    when was the last time you scanned your pc with anti malware byte / spybot ?

    remember it's AV / firewall / anti malware stuff you need on your pc :)

    Seeing the title of the thread I thought it was something major! Wife mugged or house burgled to make you very angry

    But no you are 'very angry' because if some targeted ads on a website!

    If you are using Google and Youtube !!!WHILE!!! you are logged into either one, then it will track what you're looking at and feed you junk accordingly.

    That's why I always log out before using Google or Youtube (but the default cookies feed you junk nonetheless, just not as well targeted as if you were logged in)
