Chrome = "Oh, snap!" :-(

edited May 2011 in Chit chat
Google Chrome has been behaving crazy this morning. I keep getting the "Oh, snap!" error for nearly every page. The pages load like normal but once it's done loading a page it immediately goes "Oh, snap!" on me :-(

Chrome hasn't done any updating of it's own (to my knowledge, and it's v. 11.0.696.68)

Now, here is the really annoying thing about this error ... when I go to Tools -> Clear Browsing Data I also get the error message there, so I thought that this might be malware. I was eventually able to clear the cache to no avail.

Scanned the computer, and it's clean. It's up to date on the installed anti-malware, etc.

I'm "forced" to use *cough splutter* YEURGH! Wideweb Exploder (yuck) to send this message.

Any ideas?

    Haven't had this problem... I recently moved over to Chrome after previously using Firefox (of which seems to get slower on my Atom N270 based netbook).

    Try cleaning out cached pages using a tool such as CCleaner to see if it fixes the problem.

    I didn't realise Google used smilies in their version numbers, how quaint!
