Amateur film makers of the world, when shooting silly people doing stupid things, expect accidents and DON'T DROP THE CAMERA DOWN AS SOON AS SOMETHING HAPPENS
I started going to school in the 80s, part of our week was to gather as a class and watch the big telly while sat cross-legged on the 'library' floor. When we weren't watching Words and Pictures, or Cosmo and Dibbs, we were watching public information films dated right back to the 70s.
My favourites were probably Cheggers says Play Safe, and Charlie Says. The sinister ones about playing by the water was always good.
I agree that kids don't seem to get to see these now. As a teacher, I've occasionally shown them in form time, to see what reaction they get. Usual quite an indifferent one, to be honest! Maybe I need to haul the class down to the library and make them sit and watch on a big CRT telly rather than via YouTube through a projector.
I guess tellies weren't so great in the 70s... For years, I thought that thing on the ground next to the motorcyclist at 0:15 was supposed to be his liver or a kidney or something. I've only just realised that it's (I think) a piece of brake lens.
Haa haa when I first re-watched the video that was my first thought of what it was. I had to watch again so see what it was.
Whilst this video was produced by the Institute of Advanced Motoring it would seem the driver is obsessed with overtaking, sometimes very dangerously. The only flaw, he should be in a BMW not a Jag.

"I want to overtake so I will signal him with my headlights. He hasn't a clue than I'm here so I'll sound the horn... and again." On the M4, near Hounslow I think.
50 years on and that would be an excellent way of fast-tracking yourself to a stabbing! :p

Sad, but very true. The amount of kids who play all the latest 18 rated games when they're no more than 11 years old is frightening.
