it's a c64c / 2 inside an old machine? NOOOoooo ... purists won't touch it with a barge pole.. theres nothing like that original louder crusty original sid chip sound :)

?60 hhmm too much.. you'll find machines go for far less .. I finally got a VERY decent c128 the other day for not a lot more :D

    sell ya speccy's get a c64 :p * waits for backlash*

I have an early C64 with orange keys, I also own a 64C, but much prefer the old one. I would only pay ?60 if it was a bread bin with original board and PSU, even then only if I didn't have a couple one already.

    yes but it's a c64c in a an original case.. :(

and the later sid chips are different as I'm sure you know.

I bought an original boxed c64 for ?10-15 about a year ago... so asking a price for something is 1 thing.. getting it.. well

gotta remember c64 is the biggest selling machine ever.. i doubt that will ever be beaten simply because of the pace of things now

The reason its the way it is is because I got tired looking at all the breadbins ive got here that dont work for one reason or another, (nearly all PLA replacements), and I had a working 64C but the case was proper ratty. ?60 I know is a bit steep, which is why theres a best offer, as we all know though, some people will pay almost anything when in the "drunken ebay browsing" state (god knows i have and i'd still like to know how on earth I managed to buy a unicycle!)

Its allright fog, ive got my modified 64 breadbin and a modified 128 that I use for myself that aint going anywhere, at the minute Im using the 128 through a 1901 monitor (for that funky 80 column mode!) and the breaders is sitting on a shelf next to (and people are going to hate this) the toastrack:-o

I only used the 128 before in 80 column mode .. hooked up to a c64 = pds via the user port

an assembler on the 128 (in 128 mode) + receive on the c64... handy as it saves a lot of memory and it can receive the data back from the c64 also.

I'm tempted to find out about upgrading my new 128, but haven't yet.

In mine I have the servant ROM installed, plus Jiffydos, works really well!
