Yes, nothing serious but some shock :-)

First news : Epicentre was only 20 km from my home.

We heart a BANG then the earth started shaking. The dog started to bark.
My wife was quite shocked. Now we are getting more relaxed.

On Twitter 'aardbeving' was/is top tweet!

    Nothing here.

I just asked the rest of the home as well and they didn't notice anything either. But we don't live near the epicenter.

I'm in north-west Germany at the moment on a business trip and I also felt the earthquake. I left Japan a month ago (after six years). I thought I'd left the earthquakes behind so it was a strange sensation to feel one in Europe. I actually felt a little more uncomfortable here as the buildings are not really designed to flex.

I'll be back in the UK tomorrow. I feel like an Earthquake tourist.

It's terrible! Large parts of the Netherlands have been completely flattened! Vast swathes of the country remain below sea level!

Last one I felt was in Corfu. I was sitting at a table in the Nereids restaurant in Paleokastritsa wondering whether an earthquake would make the waitress move any quicker. Turns out no, it didn't.

Hmm, I was watching a movie at that time so I should have noticed it, but I didn't at all. Shame, I'd like to know how it feels. Last time we had one many years ago I was asleep so completely missed it.

Talking of disasters there was a weather warning issued for Scotland and Northern England saying that storm force winds and heavy rain will be here on Monday, apparently its the tail end of some hurricane. That's going to make my journey to work interesting.

For residents of Nieuwerkerk aan den IJssel, that's still technically over 22 feet high!
